Winslow LeechParticipantA New Wave song- New Wave was the term quickly adopted and overused by the music industry and press in the late 70s when they decided that “Punk” was too aggressive & negative… there were lots of great bands from this era, some made it & many more were largely forgotten… The Shirts were a great NY band led by Annie Golden, and one of the original groups to play at CBGBs… They recorded several albums, but none really caught the energy & full potential of their great live shows…
